Company fined for using parking space as kitchen extension

A company has been issued a compound fine for using a parking space as an extension of its kitchen in breach of planning regulations.
The offence falls under the Town and Country Planning (Composition of Offences) Regulations 2018.
Authorities said the area was used for cooking and food preparation activities.
Apart from cleanliness and health concerns, such activities may also affect the appearance and aesthetic value of commercial areas.

The compound fine for each offence does not exceed BND500, with offenders given seven days from the date of issuance to settle the penalty.
