A 28-year-old local man was charged in the Magistrate’s Court with mischief for allegedly damaging a vehicle in Mentiri.
Mohammad Fadilah bin Rosli is accused of kicking and causing damage to a red Hyundai i10 at around 7am on January 30 in the vicinity of a house at No 58, Simpang 56, Jalan Wasai Limuru Barat, Perumahan Tanah Jambu, Mentiri.
The charge, brought by Deputy Public Prosecutor Ahmad Firdaus Mohammad on behalf of the Public Prosecutor, is framed under Section 426 of the Penal Code (Chapter 22) for mischief. The offence carries a penalty of imprisonment of up to two years, a fine, or both upon conviction.
The matter came before Magistrate Syaffina Shahif in the Bandar Seri Begawan Magistrate’s Court today, and has been fixed for further mention on March 10.
