
Unauthorised storage placed in parking spaces within an industrial area in Mukim Sengkurong has been ordered to be removed for operating without planning permission.
The activity was in breach of Section 23(2) of the Town and Country Planning Act.
Authorities said the use of parking spaces for storage reduced availability for the public and other tenants, noting that such facilities are intended for common use.

Following inspection, the landowner complied with the directive by ceasing the activity, removing the storage and clearing the area.
Authorities reminded that any development or change of land use without planning permission is an offence under Section 23 of the Act.Offenders may be fined up to BND200,000, with a further BND10,000 for each day the offence continues after conviction.
