Illegal car workshop ceased operation

An unauthorised car workshop operating in Kampong Sengkurong, Mukim Sengkurong, has been ordered to cease its activities for operating without planning permission.
The Planning Authority found that the workshop was operating and carrying out building extensions in breach of Section 23(2) of the Town and Country Planning Act, Chapter 248.
The land is currently restricted for residential purposes only, while the unauthorised workshop had caused discontent and affected the well-being of neighbouring residents.
Following a routine inspection, the vehicles associated with the workshop were found to have been removed from the area.
